Gifford Community Woodland comprises Speedy and Fawn Woods at the end of Station Road in Gifford, East Lothian. They were purchased in 2017 on behalf of the whole community, and we welcome feedback or input - you can contact us at any time on gifford.woodseh41@gmail.com

PARKING - Please note there is NO PARKING AT THE WOODS or nearby. We ask all of our visitors to park in Gifford village centre, which is just a short walk away.
Please do not park anywhere on the track, or nearby roads. These are busy with residents' parking/access and must be kept clear.

We do now need your donation.

We are delighted to announce that following our successful application to the Scottish Land Fund (SLF), and then a period of negotiation, we have now had our offer accepted by the current owner at the independent valuation price.

This means that in order to complete the purchase we now need to collect the previous pledges made and any additional donations people would like to give. This money will help to make up the short-fall between the SLF grant and the final agreed purchase price - as the SLF will only support up to a maximum of 95% of the total purchase price.
To make a donation there are two options:
  1. To donate online, please visit our MyDonate web page by clicking here. Please then follow the instructions, filling in your details and then pay by debit or credit card. (Please note, you cannot register for Gift Aid online just now, but we'll contact you to do so in due course).
  2. If you would prefer to donate by cash or cheque, please make cheques payable to Gifford Community Land Company Limited, and post or deliver it to: C/O John Wrinn, Highwood, Tweeddale Avenue, Gifford, East Lothian EH41 4QN.
Please give what you can...
There is still a slight shortfall between money pledged so far and the total required, so if you would like to increase your pledge or make a new donation we would be delighted. This is of course only the start of our journey, and the start of our regular fundraising activities. If we are fortunate enough to raise more money than is needed for the purchase, your donation will go towards on-going costs such as the insurance that we will legally require.

Please don't forget GiftAid!
If you are a UK taxpayer, then we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. Whilst we are still awaiting our full registration from HMRC, if you provide your contact details along with your donation we will contact you again to ask if you are eligible for Gift Aid and what the next steps are.
Thank you again for your support.
John Wrinn (Chair) and the Management Committee of Gifford Community Land Company
